FinregE is proud to have been selected out of many to participate in the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) AI Supercharged Sandbox, which ran from 30 September 2025 to 9 January 2026.
The programme gives firms a unique opportunity to work directly with the renowned regulator and industry leaders, to test responsible, real-world applications of AI in financial services.
FinregE’s sandbox project aims to deliver an FCA Handbook LLM – a first-of-its-kind, permissions-aware query system that aims to transform how firms and supervisors interact with FCA rules.
By linking Financial Services Market Act (FSMA) permissions directly to the FCA Handbook, the system will let users simply ask: “Which rules apply to me, why, and what outcomes do they pursue?” and receive a clear, explainable answer with citations and a transparent reasoning trail.
Entry into the cohort was highly competitive, and FinregE is pleased to have been one of the 50 chosen firms to prove its ability to combine structured regulatory data with explainable AI technology.
The FCA’s AI Supercharged Sandbox is designed to enable responsible AI adoption, with access to advanced infrastructure, technical expertise, and regulatory engagement.
